The Financial Planning team as a department in the Broker Dealer, supports many aspects of an Advisors business. The Planning team acts in a consultative capacity for the Advisors business in growing and delivering Financial plans as well as increasing AUM. The team provides support for all platforms, involves interaction with advisors and internal partners and performs plan review and approval when needed as back up. Responsibilities: In this role, the Financial Planning Lead Manager is responsible for: The Day-to-Day leadership, management and growth of the Financial Planning offering and team at AXA Equitable. Supervision and Written Supervisory Procedure (WSP) review of all team activities. Has supervisory oversight of the Financial Planning process, the Stock Option Review and Reporting process, and the Retirement Plan Administration and Reporting (RPCS/RPS) process. All Financial Planning & Wealth Management software including but not limited to eMoney, Naviplan, Riskalyze, Morningstar, LPL Financials Tool Suite, etc. that are offered through the Wealth Management Organization including the Broker Dealer. This will include new software review, approval, launch, training and ongoing support. Ensuring all administrative processes and reporting requirements for RPCS/RPS are properly supervised and maintained. Instrumental in developing and driving strategy to grow Financial Planning at the firm including advisor training and development, meeting and marketing initiation and support, and presenting at regional and national conferences. Engaging and participating in Financial Planning industry, sponsor, and vendor events; staying current with industry, product and/or platform risks and opportunities and providing timely updates and recommendations to Wealth Management, the Broker Dealer and the firm. The Lead Manager should be able to: Research and resolves issues in a timely and quality manner, escalate more complex requests to senior management or appropriate area leadership where and when appropriate Understand the process to approve Financial Plans in accordance with the WSP of the team, as well as, drive continuous improvement of the process Provide subject matter expertise for training and development of advisors, Financial Planning team employees and Wealth Management in general Understand and manage asset allocation model and associated risk tolerance questionnaires, as well as, coordinating with Financial Planning platform providers Job Purpose: Lead the team that Supervises the financial planning process for IAR tools through collaboration with Advisors. Ensure quality of advice through collaboration with the advisor for utilizing all supported tools (both comprehensive, and goal/need based). This support includes inbound and outbound call support, financial planning case design, and one-on-one consultations. Identify gaps in financial plans and assisting our financial professional in bridging the gap. Review plans for input errors and validates the reasonableness of the plan against client's asset goals and risk tolerance to develop strategic insights and recommendations on developments influencing AXA Advisors life, annuity, and advisory business. Supervision: Financial Planning Team, RPCS/RPS Business, AMLC Contact Management Responsibility: Financial Planning Team Skills/Knowledge typically necessary to perform successfully at each career level: Working knowledge of retail financial services industry as well as background in financial planning and/or advanced markets. Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team. Detail oriented. Strong experience with Microsoft Access, Excel and Project. Commitment to learning and expanding knowledge of financial services. Ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects.
