AGDATA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Sales Director to join our leadership team to lead our Strategic and Emerging Account Executives across North America.. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will pursue innovative paths to identify and collaborate with potential clients and support the revenue growth strategy of the company. As the National Sales Director, you will drive the company's efforts to acquire and expand client relationships, protect and acquire revenue streams through the Strategic and Emerging agriculture and animal health manufacturers within North America.. Of paramount importance is the coaching and development of the sales force who is tasked with driving sales across Strategic and Emerging customers. This includes the development of a sustainable sales culture supporting all sales disciplines such as prospecting, forecasting, pipeline management, account/territory planning and all aspects of account-based selling. You will also be expected to drive process improvement and the development of a best-in-class sales force, with a high level of execution detail and a customer focused approach to help propel AGDATA forward.. You will have the opportunity to:. Develop Strategic/Emerging account strategy.. Meet assigned sales targets for profitable sales growth (Revenue and Bookings).. Identify, build and manage relationships with senior executives (typically c-suite) within the crop and animal health communities to understand their business challenges and educate them on the value of our products.. Ensure crisp alignment of messaging to clients and coach less seasoned sellers through the entire sales process.. Collaborate with marketing and sales team members to brainstorm and execute creative marketing strategies and business planning for the promotion of our products and services to increase sales.. Provide feedback to the VP of Sales on the efficacy of our marketing efforts, and introduce improvement ideas as appropriate.. Collaborate with marketing on content and collateral for use during the sales process, including pitch decks and marketing materials. Knowledge sharing with other team members to ensure collaboration and consistent messaging within materials.. Development of marketing campaigns in conjunction with marketing for each seller and determine the strategy for the given set of accounts.. Includes but not limited to: Call/Email/Social Media campaigns, follow-up process and following the AGDATA Sales Model (ASM).. Keep current on business, competitor and agriculture market trends and incorporate (as appropriate) that knowledge into strategies and initiatives.. Develop and define the vision and associated strategy and execution plans to achieve annual growth targets through the development of solutions.. Develop strategies for solutions that will solve our customers' business challenges with a mindset of creating consistent and repeatable solutions.. Define consistent performance metrics and targets for the Strategic and Emerging organization.. Education:. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience a requirement, master's degree in business administration or equivalent Agriculture/Animal Health degree a plus. Work Experience:. 10+ years demonstrated success in complex, solution sales (B2B) with c-suite interaction within the Agriculture and/or Animal Health industries.. Experience building, developing, coaching, motivating sales teams including an overall sales culture.. Results driven with proven record of accomplishment of over-achieving goals.. Creation of a sales culture including the development of talent with the ability to attract, coach and motivate a sales team.. Effectively collaborate in a cross-matrixed environment with our services delivery team and engineering to determine feasibility of solutions across all of our business units.. Development experience with proven track record of building a team.. Executive presence, with demonstrated success presenting to, influencing and collaborating with clients to achieve deliverables.. Leadership qualities with a demonstrated ability to guide or make decisions and achieve closure.. Ability to lead others and develop strategies.. Excellent organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously..
