Summary
We have an opportunity for a Director, Solutions Management to join our team in our Richmond, BC headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and researching key use cases and evangelizing their application with Sierra Wireless products and solutions. You will also be tasked with identifying and managing related product solutions developing roadmaps, planning and executing the launch of new and existing solutions. You will be involved in strategic activities including unique task forces, special assignments and strategic planning as necessary.
Responsibilities
Lead Market Problem discovery and analysis for solutions, organize use case/solutions review with internal stakeholders including Product PLM
Work across functional teams to deliver Solutions / Offerings to customers, routinely collaborating with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Support
Development offer alignment and positioning for go-to-market/promotion campaigns
Create and manage:
* Solution roadmap, Product Plan, Requirements Documentation
* Priorities lists, Customer lists, Product launch schedules
* Planning and executing the launch of Solutions and releases
* Reporting and analysing traction metrics
* Track Solution tracking and rate of adoption
Ensure world class solutions:
* Participate in visits and demonstrations to key prospects and customers, and support seminar and trade show activities
* Communicate plans and activities effectively to management and to the company as a whole
* Enhanced differentiation, understands use cases & customer pain points
* Strong understanding of competitive environment
Working closely with Product Marketing:
* Provide content for product data sheets, press releases and brochures, website content, customer success stories, competitive briefs, sales presentations, case studies and white papers
* Develop product training and support materials for sales forces, and help train field personnel
* Sales materials: product presentation, sale arguments, Newsletter
A moderate amount of travel will be required - 10 - 25%
Required Education, Experience & Competencies
* Bachelor degree in Marketing, Engineering or Commerce
* Superior communication and interpersonal skills
* Deep Experience with Software Product Management in an Agile development environment
* Understanding and experience with launching products to market
* Ability to multi-task and work with various internal and external groups
* Strong understanding of Product Life Cycle (PLC)
* Work independently with minimal supervision
